Mixing Services – What to Expect

Pro Tip

🎛️ The cleaner, better labeled, and more organized your files are, the faster your mix will come together — and the better the final result will sound!

Ready to Book?
Head to our booking page and enjoy our mixing services today!

How do I submit my files for mixing?

You can upload your session stems (individual WAV or high-quality audio files) via a secure upload link we provide after booking. Please make sure all files are clearly labeled and properly organized.

What format should my files be in?

We request that you submit your files as 24-bit WAV files at the original session sample rate (44.1kHz, 48kHz, etc.). Files should be dry (no effects) unless a specific sound effect is essential to your final vision.

Do I need to book  through the website for mixing?

Yes. All mixing services should be scheduled through our Booking Page. When booking, you can either select Mixing & Mastering or reserve a standard studio session if you would like to work on the mix together in the studio.

Many clients who have already recorded with us choose to book a standard session to spend dedicated time refining their mix alongside the engineer. After your booking is confirmed, we’ll coordinate with you to collect your files, session details, and project notes.

Can I attend the mixing session?

Yes. While most mixing is completed offline for efficiency, attended mixing sessions are available upon request.

If you would like to be present during the mixing process, we recommend booking a dedicated studio block to ensure enough time for collaboration, revisions, and detailed adjustments.

What’s the difference between the Mixing Service and a Standard Studio Session used for mixing?

The Mixing Service is typically handled offline by our engineers for efficiency and turnaround speed. This option is ideal when you want professional mixing without needing to be present.

A Standard Studio Session used for mixing is an attended session where the client works directly with the engineer in real time. This option is best when you want hands-on collaboration, creative input, or to make decisions during the mixing process.

What’s included with my mixing service?

  • Full professional mix using industry-standard tools and techniques

  • Leveling, EQ, compression, effects, automation, and spatial enhancements

  • 1 full mix + 1 instrumental version (optional)

  • Up to 2 rounds of revisions included at no extra cost

How long does mixing take?

Typical turnaround is 3–5 business days after receiving your properly prepared files. Larger projects may require additional time.

Can I have my song mastered after mixing?

Absolutely! Professional mastering can be added after your mix is approved. Ask us about special rates when bundling mixing and mastering.

How will I receive my final mix?

You will receive your final mixes via a secure download link. Files are delivered in high-quality WAV format (and MP3 versions upon request).

What happens if I lose my files later?

We highly recommend downloading and backing up your final mixes immediately.

Mixing Prep Checklist

✅ Export individual stems
Export all major elements separately (vocals, drums, bass, guitars, effects, etc.). Consolidate from the session start to ensure they all line up properly.

✅ Use 24-bit WAV files
Export at 24-bit resolution, keeping the original sample rate of your session.

✅ Remove unnecessary effects
Unless an effect (such as auto-tune or a specific delay/reverb) is crucial to the sound, send dry stems.

✅ Clearly label each file
Name tracks clearly, e.g., "LeadVocal.wav," "SnareTop.wav," "BassDI.wav," etc.

✅ Include a rough mix or reference track
A rough version or a professional track you like helps us understand the sound you're aiming for.

✅ Organize into one folder
Place all files in a single organized folder, and compress (ZIP) the folder for easier upload.

✅ Double-check your files
Play through your exports once to confirm all parts are correct and everything lines up.
